Burgundy! Nice choice. The Purple Rose of Cairo is a favorite film and, obviously for mother, a new connection. But the most important thing is that I was correct in going for flowers other than fall colours. Mother was thrilled with seeing colours that are chosen for her, not the season; symbolizing the energy and passion with which she lives her life. And as she moves into her eightieth year, being given reds and wines and burgundies did the trick!
